Dry-Dry run video

Reflection of Dry-Dry Run

Some of the things that work after watching the dry run are our setup. We are doing it in the form of a panel, and I feel like watching the video, you can tell. Aside from my initial mess-up when introducing myself, everything went well. I want to add more information about what I want to get into after this, but we all did a good job covering things. We also went in-depth into the classes we liked and were inspired to choose a specific path. Although this was a dry-dry run, I still did a lot of looking at my screen and want to improve on that. I like the aspect of this one, knowing we can film it, because that gives me less stress from people staring at me live. Something else I think we could add is although it is a panel, I can end my speaking part with I am going to now turn it over to Alli, and then she can say the same thing when turning it over to Ashlyn so it flows a little better.

Dry-Run Video

Reflection of Dry Run

From this dry run, my introduction was much better than the first time we did this, which I am happy about. It was not so abrupt; however, I was still looking down at my screen more than I would have liked in the beginning, so I want to avoid this when filming the final run. I feel like compared to not only the last time we did speech 4 but also other speeches, I did not talk as fast as I typically would when presenting. One last thing for my part is I want to add a little more information because I feel like there is more I can cover and touch upon. Though introducing who is speaking next, I think the transition we made helped it flow much better, and I am glad we did that.

Final Video

Reflection on the Process/Role in Group

During this project, we all worked very well together. We met two times to rehearse before our dry run, and then the next was to film our final project. We all have different majors, which made it easy for us to agree on what to do for the project as we chose the panel. This allowed us to talk in-depth about our majors. I then said I could do the editing as I took a video editing class last year and knew how to use a different software besides iMovie.

For Ashlyn, I appreciated how she volunteered to take over the closing statement for our speech. I also appreciated her positive energy and vibes, always having a smile on her face. It made working on the project fun and showed that she was very excited to get into more classes related to her major, as she still had a lot of good information and things to say.

For Allie, I appreciated how she kept me on task, as sometimes I would get distracted or keep laughing. It allowed me to stay in the zone, and some of the things she mentioned when talking about her major made me think about adding similar points to mine. It was nice to have someone with different ideas and help me make my part the best possible.
