In this picture is my plastic cup from Dunkin, and this is an item that can commonly be found in land pollution or just liter in general. Dunkin is a very popular coffee place in New England, these types of cups can be found anywhere. They are often thrown out of cars on highways, or in overflowing trash cans, and just left in public areas to blow away or fall on the ground. People do not pick up after themselves and leave these kinds of plastics, creating land pollution and harming the environment. One way to avoid this is to take the extra step to make sure your trash is thrown away, you pick up a cup you see left out, and make sure you don’t just leave yours lying around outside when done. Another way to avoid this is to get a reusable cup and see if they can fill it with your drink instead of using one of these plastic ones that way once done you aren’t throwing out the cup at all and bringing it home because you care about it since you can reuse it.
